NAS conception GmbH draws its conclusion for 2020 and looks optimistically into the future

Online beer tasting and a surprise package delivered to the customer’s home, including a NAS sweater – that was what this year’s Christmas party at NAS conception GmbH looked like in mid-December. “We wanted to give our employees a little mental break from the pandemic, precisely because we are fully aware of the dramatic overall situation in Germany and NRW these days,” says Managing Director Andreas Eickel.

Virtual meetings

Since March, the team of the Düsseldorf-based software provider has been almost entirely located in the home office. “Because enabling digital and mobile work is part of our core business, we were able to make the move from office to home quickly and easily,” Eickel said. The agile processing of project tasks is carried out by direct assignment of a team member in each case. Virtual standup meetings via Microsoft Teams ensure that everyone is up to date. To strengthen the team spirit despite the physical distance, a joint online fitness training took place in May. “In September – after the complete modernization of our offices in Heerdt – we were able to celebrate a joint late summer party in combination with an opening ceremony under Corona conditions,” says Managing Director Nico Straub.

High demand for apps

Despite the challenges posed by the crisis, a lot has also happened in business. The expansion of cloud competencies, the focus on the Microsoft services Dynamics 365, Office 365, Power Platform and Azure, and the further specialization in ERP Business Central are also particularly noteworthy. NAS has released various apps in the Microsoft AppSource over the past few months. Demand is high and international. “We have created modern connections from external store systems such as Shopify, for example, which in turn have developed into new apps. Their release is firmly planned for 2021,” adds Andreas Eickel. Cloud ERP solution packages with a fixed price for defined services were offered and could be rolled out as standards. The topic of e-commerce is playing a growing role – the competencies in the team could be strengthened here through numerous projects in 2020. The same applies to the startup customer group, which has been offered “START setup packages” for several years.

Team to grow

The organic growth of recent years is to be continued. Andreas Eickel and Nico Straub are planning to expand the current team in 2021. The focus will be on the expansion of business with ready-made solution packages and the digitization of SMEs. The company is relying on a combination that is as proven as it is innovative: standard Microsoft technologies with a “Touch NAS conception and NC365”.
