Due to the turn of the year this entry appears a bit late. Nevertheless, I would like to briefly present the developments on “Power BI” in the last month. A big step was made in the topic of user-friendliness, so that navigation and inputs are now even easier.
A few days ago Microsoft presented the new developments for their product “Power BI”. This time there are many improvements for the developer, but of course also exciting enhancements for the visual display.
It’s that time again: Microsoft has again provided new extensions for the product “Power BI”, which simplify the work of the developer and offer new display options.
Among the most exciting enhancements are “fuzzy matching”, a way to join tables over imprecise fields, and “data profiling”, which is used to find errors. Furthermore, the “Composite Models” and the “Aggregation” function are now supported and can not only be used as previews, but can also be included in reports.
Microsoft has announced in recent weeks that Office 365 tenants will now get the “Use Teams Only” selection. The fact that the changeover is now to be carried out within the next few weeks did not satisfy us. We wanted to test the complete replacement of Skype for Business Online and switched individual users via Power Shell.
This September, Microsoft has again expanded the scope of its “Power BI” product with exciting and often requested features that developers can look forward to.
One of the most interesting points here is clearly the function called “Aggregation”, which makes it possible to load summarized data without the need to load the entire data set first.
